Ahmadseh advised students to steer clear of negative activities to secure their future. He said there are a lot of crimes in the country which are difficult to solve such as the drug prevalence and that students may get influenced if they are not of strong character.
Ahmadseh also urged parents to cooperate with teachers to monitor their children’s activities.
Also present in the ceremony were school Principal, Chong Shat Muai, Board Member of the school, Mary Gomez, Parents and Teachers Association President, Dr Soon Ruey, and President of Ex-Franciscan Association, Suzanne Stidi.

“ITCH ATTACK” lands 46 students in hospital
KOTA KINABALU: 46 students from SMK St. Francis Convent (M) were taken to the QEH I and II with severe itches believed to be allergic reactions to pollen blown to the school by strong winds.
32 of the students from the all-girl secondary school were taken to the QEH I while the remaining 14 were brought to QEH II at 4pm, according to Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin.
She said the students were attending their weekly school assembly at an open hall at 2pm when the winds occured.

Pertandingan Kawad Antara Unit Beruniform
Pada 29hb Februari 2012, Pertandingan Kawad Antara Unit Beruniform SM ST Francis Convent telah diadakan di Dewan Serbaguna Sacred Heart Kota Kinabalu.
Murid-murid telah berada di dewan seawal jam 6.30 pagi untuk mengambil kehadiran.
Pertandingan Kawad antara Unit Beruniform telah bermula pada pukul 8.15 pagi.
Pertandingan ini dimulakan dengan Kadet Remaja Sekolah
Diikuti dengan Pandu Puteri.
Puteri Islam.
Pengakap.
Kadet Polis.
dan terakhir ialah Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah
Beberapa orang murid telah membuat persembahan selepas pertandingan kawad.

Latihan Merentas Desa 2012
Berikut adalah jadual bagi latihan merentas desa 2012
Kehadiran pelajar adalah wajib. Pelajar perlu memakai pakaian rumah sukan yang dibenarkan iaitu baju dan seluar rumah sukan masing – masing.
Program perpustakaan
Public Speaking Program
Setiap kelas diwajibkan untuk menghantar dua orang peserta serta seorang simpanan untuk program ini.
Public Speaking Program akan diadakan di dewan kecil pada masa rehat.
Kelas yang terlibat wajib berada di dewan kecil. Yang terkecuali adalah pengawas dan murid bertugas sahaja.

Seminar Skor A PMR & SPM
Two of Malaysia’s very experienced teachers, Mr Shiva Romana and Mr V Chandrakanth, came to give a brief talk in our school on February 16, Thursday. Only form 3 and form 5 students were involved. Our counseling teacher, Ms Anna was in charge of managing this event, with help from PRS (Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya). Mr Shiva carried out a talk on how to score A in PMR and SPM. The talk was carried out enthusiastically and lively as the students were very entertained by their creative techniques on answering PMR and SPM questions.
